Fairytale-like Rothenburg

7 mei 2017 - Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Duitsland

This morning we left the "to be or not to be Feyenoord champion city" Rotterdam (who knows the result?). We had a quick stop at my mum and got some great holiday wishes, also from my sisters and nephews that especially stopped by. And off we went to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. A medieval city which is kept in its original state perfectly! Although the wheather is not too good (bit rainy) this place looks so cute (aranyoooos!!!). It is surrounded by a well maintained city wall from where you can look over all the different shapes and colours of houses and all kinds of towers (watchtowers, churches, citygates etc). And the best thing is that you can walk along this entire city wall and stay dry in the meanwhile. We had dinner in a great Wine stube full of antique furniture and of course lots of meat and potato. Accompanied by some lovely beers. Loved it!! We already feel like we are on holiday for days now...

How nice to travel along with you two. I'll enjoy it. Good luck and by the way: Feyenoord lost the game 0-3

Wat lekker, een droge stadswandeling zonder paraplu. Stadje ziet er schattig uit! Frozen eat your heart out

Beautiful city and very nice photos, looks like an excellent start of your holiday! Nice Hobbit house with the green door. Did you guys stay at the "Romantik Hotel" (image.2821093)?

P.S. Feyenoord became champion in the end, which was of course celebrated in a huge way: https://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2017/05/14/feyenoord-landskampioen-eredivisie-2016-2017-a1558574
